In the 1970’s & 1980’s, David Harvey received his musical education at the New England Conservatory of Music and the Berkshire Tanglewood Institute. He made his public debut in 1978 as concerto soloist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Since that time, he has appeared not only in concert recitals but also with orchestra, jazz ensemble, string quartet, and most notably with show-band as headline soloist of Marimba Moods™.

Mr. Harvey writes all his musical arrangements personally. He has singlehandedly created an entire repertoire of eclectic marimba music that can only be heard at a Marimba Moods™ performance, which is a one-of-a-kind experience.”
